Hi, Craig.
I'm interested in your feedback on PerspecSys.
PerspecSys Inc. (
www.perspecsys.com), is the maker of a cloud data security platform, PRS Server, that ensures full control and protection of sensitive data used in the public cloud. PRS Server mitigates the privacy, data residency and security concerns inherent with adoption of SaaS applications in the public cloud, as sensitive data remains resident behind the organization's firewall while tokenized data travels to the cloud, maintaining functionality of the application and the value proposition of its being cloud-based.
The company's founder, Terry Woloszyn, feels strongly that the knowledge and governance gap that hinders the adoption of cloud-based SaaS may be narrowing but that significant work remains to be done.
Since SaaS offers almost immediate time to value, vendors such as Salesforce.com have enjoyed great success selling to line-of-business managers in enterprises, often bypassing the security and governance rigor associated with traditional software implementations. This has created a governance gap that potentially makes these enterprises non-compliant with legal, regulatory or internal governance policies.
Would you agree with his assessment of the situation and that such a governance gap exists?
I look forward to your thoughts on this assertion and your feedback on PerspecSys solution. The company's recently been named a finalist in the Global Cloud Security Challenge, a Cool Vendor in the Cloud Security Services by Gartner Group and just this week won the Plug and Play EXPO 2010 in Silicon Valley. As you're clearly a thought leader in this space, we'd greatly appreciate your feedback on the company's approach.
Cheers,
Linda Forrest for PerspecSys
