IBM Turbonomic

IBM Turbonomic is the current successor path for the old ParkMyCloud cloud optimization listing. ParkMyCloud capabilities were absorbed through the Turbonomic lineage, and Turbonomic is now positioned around application resource management and cloud cost optimization.

The platform analyzes application demand, infrastructure supply, and resource allocation to recommend or automate actions that balance performance and cost. In cloud environments, this can include rightsizing, scaling, placement, and resource optimization decisions.

Operationally, Turbonomic is most useful when connected to both application and infrastructure telemetry so recommendations are based on business service demand rather than isolated resource utilization. Teams should define automation guardrails carefully, especially where cost optimization actions could affect production performance.

This entry replaces the discontinued ParkMyCloud product identity with the active IBM Turbonomic successor.
